My approach
Form first,
distance later.
The technique I teach is the technique I rely on in competition — and the same one I coach to collegiate athletes. Three steps, in order.
Fix the grip & sequence
We start where strokes actually leak — a grip that locks the disc and a motion that fires in the right order.
Groove a snap you trust
Standstill reps for clean spin. No firehose of tips — just the two or three things that hold up under pressure.
Then chase distance
Once the form repeats, distance is just a faster version of a motion you already own. Score lower, not just throw harder.
